Al-Waqf began serving meals to the needy on 03 February 2021.

We closed for the two days of Eid, and five days during the July 2021 unrest. Besides these, we have been serving the indigent every day.

Together with meals served at the soup kitchen, in partnership with others we also provide meals to a number of locations or informal settlements. This is in addition to the meals that we provide for the elderly and disabled.

Since our inception, we have provided over two million meals.

We have received calls to provide even more at other locations. We also have projects in the pipeline.

All this is possible, firstly by the Mercy of Allah Ta’ala, and then through the generous donations of our donors.

Kindly note that we only accept Lillah funds. We do NOT use any Zakaat funds.
